Student/Recent Grad Core Logging - American Tungsten
About The Position
American Tungsten Corp has an opportunity for an early career geoscientist for a summer field position on it’s Ima Mine tungsten project, in Patterson, ID. The position would entail core logging, drill program support, and other field related geological work on a to-be-determined field shift on-off schedule. This position is open to recent graduates and near-graduate geology students with experience/coursework in mineralogy, petrology, structural geology and field methods. Daily tasks will include rig-checks, geotechnical logging, geological logging, working with core sampling techs and drilling contractors, daily reporting and other tasks in support of the planned 4-drill rig 35,000 ft drilling program. The candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with a variety of people, and adapt to new situations. Candidate must be able to perform medium-duty physical work including loading and unloading core boxes. Housing in Challis, Salmon or at the project site will be provided, in addition to meal stipend and transportation reimbursement. This will be a paid 1099-independent contractor position.
